Excellence
We are committed to continuous improvement in our services, advocacy, and the quality of Nigeria's mushroom products.
Sustainability
We promote cultivation and processing practices that protect Nigeria's natural environment for future generations.
Our Evolution
Tracing the journey from niche academic interest to a vibrant, nationwide agribusiness that powers the Nigerian economy.
Late 1970s
Pioneering research at Nigerian universities demonstrated that species such as Pleurotus (oyster mushroom) and Volvariella (straw mushroom) could be successfully domesticated using locally available agricultural waste.
Early 2000s
Rising demand for healthy protein alternatives and export opportunities transformed mushroom farming into an attractive enterprise for youth and smallholder farmers across Nigeria's rainforest belts.
2012
Agribusiness professionals came together to formally establish the National Mushroom Growers, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria (NAMGP MAN), providing a unified voice for the sector.
Today
NAMGP MAN is a nationally recognized apex body with active representation across all six geopolitical zones, partnered with international agencies like FAO and IITA.
